Unfortunately our iOS app did not get approved to become available on Apple’s App Store, due to not providing enough additional functionality that Apple requires all apps to fulfil. For now, this means we’re going to pull our Android app from the store as well, and we’ll refocus our communication efforts through this website and our Telegram channel, https://t.me/readingmuslimuk.
We would be grateful for any donations towards our future projects, which includes creating more holistic native apps from scratch.

Assalaamu alaykum and Jummah Mubarak.
It’s Friday today, a day which I normally embrace with a great deal of enthusiasm.
Sadly today I almost met it with indifference. It could be any other day. That’s because right now up and down the country our masajid are closed because of the global Coronavirus pandemic. I know it is with good reason that they have chosen to close their doors. It is to protect our loved ones, our most vulnerable. And yet I can’t help but feel sad.
As usual however the remedy for this sadness comes from my mother. Yesterday she sent out a message reminding everyone not to forget our masajid now. Though we might not be able to visit them in person, we can still support them with our donations. Many of them rely on Friday donations to survive and to pay our Imams. So on this day, we might not be able to pray in congregation together, but we can certainly come together to make sure our Imams are looked after and that our masajid are still there for us after this virus is gone.
Please, if you are in a position to do so, donate to your local masjid.

The prime minister is announcing strict new curbs on life in the UK to tackle the spread of coronavirus.
From this evening people must stay at home except for shopping for basic necessities, daily exercise, any medical need and travelling to and from essential work.
Shops selling non-essential goods will also be shut and gatherings in public of more than two people who do not live together prohibited.
The UK death toll has reached 335.
If people do not follow the rules police will have the powers to enforce them, including through fines and dispersing gatherings, Boris Johnson said in a televised statement from Downing Street.
Other premises including libraries, playgrounds and outdoor gyms, and places of worship must also close immediately.
Parks will remain open for exercise but gatherings will be dispersed.
The government is also stopping all social events, including weddings, baptisms and other ceremonies – but funerals will be allowed.
